He divided his time between philosophy, graphics, engineering and economics. His roster of clients expanded to include \u003ca title=\"Alessi products\" href=\"http:\/\/www.design55online.co.uk\/brands\/alessi.html\" target=\"_self\"\u003eAlessi\u003c\/a\u003e, Artemide, B \u0026amp; B Italia, \u003ca title=\"Kartell chairs\" href=\"http:\/\/www.design55online.co.uk\/brands\/kartell.html\"\u003eKartell\u003c\/a\u003e and \u003ca title=\"Magis furniture\" href=\"http:\/\/www.design55online.co.uk\/brands\/magis.html\" target=\"_self\"\u003eMagis furniture\u003c\/a\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eIn 1960 he won the prestigious Compasso d’Oro for his Tizio Lamp. Excited by the new developments in electronics he designed tv sets and the famous Grillo phone, and by 1980 he was Principal Design Consultant at IBM – where he designed some of the world’s first computers.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eSapper has fifteen permanent exhibits in the MoMA in New York. He teaches at Yale University and The Royal College of Art in London.
