He pursued a successful free-lance career working with Issey Miyake creating integrated product packaging and shop design. His reputation was enhanced by collaborations with European design houses like Swarovski, Driade and \u003ca title=\"Kartell Furniture\" href=\"http:\/\/www.design55online.co.uk\/brands\/kartell.html\" target=\"_self\"\u003eKartell\u003c\/a\u003e. Yoshioka is an artist as well as a designer, and some of his creations – notably the Tokyo Pop range – achieve the status of both.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eHe has permanent exhibits in the V \u0026amp; A, Manhattan’s magnificent MoMA and the Pompidou in Paris.
