Design 55 has a great range of unusual vintage and cool light bulbs that are alot more stylish than your bog standard light bulbs. Energy saving light bulbs tend to suffer in their appearance, however the Plumen has now put a sudden end to this disaster. Designed by Hulger and Samuel Wilkinson, the bulb [OPEN]is available in 2 alternative fittings, as a bayonet B22 and as an Edison screw fitting.

In terms of wattage the bulbs feature 11 watts, equalling 56 watts in a standard bulb and is also now available in a small baby version of the original plumen.

This gives off an impressive 680 lumens. Plumen have continued to win several awards, most impressively featuring the Brit Insurance Design of the year.

We also have a great range of vintage filament bulbs including the Danlamp squirrel cage bulb which is very much in fashion at the moment on TV and the glossy magazines.  Other vintage light bulbs include the Globe de Luxe which includes a sral filament inside a large round bulb.

Also we have the vintage range of Lee Broom crystal bulbs, this young UK designer is regarded as the industry as one of the best already.
